Royal Fortresses of Languedoc

Aguilar, Carcassonne, Lastours, Montségur, Peyrepertuse, Puilaurens, Quéribus, Termes – eight monuments that form a single, exceptional architectural ensemble. It is as a ‘serial property’ that the Royal Fortresses of Languedoc are currently applying for inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Objective: to prove that this fortified territorial defensive system is unique in the world, and to ensure its transmission to future generations!
